Our Mission & Values
At Oak & Acre, our mission is to reclaim food, freedom, and our primal way of being. We’re here to shine a light on the difference between what we’re told and what’s true, to provide practical tools for living more ancestrally, and to build a community rooted in stewardship and purpose.
We believe the future of food and health isn’t in outsourcing, industrialisation, or convenience — it’s in reconnecting with land, eating seasonally, and taking collective responsibility for how we nourish ourselves and our communities.
Our Mission:
- Educate: Offer independent commentary and resources on farming, food systems, and consumer culture.
- Empower: Provide seasonal guides, digital tools, and ancestral practices that work in everyday life — even without land.
- Connect: Bring together individuals, families, and communities who are reclaiming local food systems, practical skills, and self-reliance.
- Inspire: Share our ongoing journey honestly so others can see that change is possible — and worth it.
Our Core Values:
1.Stewardship Over Exploitation
We believe humans are meant to be caretakers of the earth, animals, and each other — not detached consumers.
2. Transparency Over Trends
We share what we learn, link our sources, and invite people to think critically rather than follow blindly.
3. Seasonal Rhythms Over Convenience
We value eating with the seasons, sourcing locally, and slowing down to nature’s pace.
4. Connection Over Isolation
Food should build community. Knowledge should be shared. Skills should be passed on.
5. Integrity Over Image
Our commitment is to truth, health, and sustainability — not quick wins or fashionable branding.
6. Action Over Perfection
We don’t wait for the “perfect” circumstances to live our values. We start where we are and invite others to do the same.
Our Faith & Stewardship
Faith is at the heart of Oak & Acre. We believe the earth and everything in it is a sacred trust, and that humans are called to be shepherds — not exploiters — of creation. This perspective informs every decision we make, from the food we choose to the way we raise our children, build community, and share knowledge.
Our faith also drives our commitment to transparency, humility, and learning. We see Oak & Acre as a living testimony: we’re not perfect, but we’re striving to live closer to the rhythms of nature, to give more than we take, and to serve rather than consume.
We welcome people from all walks of life. You don’t have to share our faith to be part of this journey. What unites us is the desire to reclaim food, restore community, and live more purposefully.
