Questions & Answers
Q: What is Oak & Acre?
A: Oak & Acre is our family-run platform dedicated to reclaiming food, freedom, and our primal way of living. We share independent news, commentary, and practical tools for seasonal, ancestral living.
Q: Do you run a farm right now?
A: We don’t currently have a full farm — but we’re actively growing, experimenting, and building toward our future vision. In the meantime, we share tips, digital products, and real-life experiments that anyone can try, even without land.
Q: What does “independent news” mean?
A: We’re not a traditional newsroom. We curate and comment on articles from other sources, link to the originals, and add our own analysis and action steps. We believe in transparency, crediting sources, and empowering you to think critically.
Q: Are you vegan or carnivore?
A: We’re neither — our journey has taken us from veganism to ancestral, seasonal eating with a focus on nose-to-tail nutrition and local food. We encourage everyone to discover what works for them and to source food as locally and sustainably as possible.
Q: Can I use your ideas if I don’t have land?
A: Absolutely. Oak & Acre is about principles, not perfection. We provide seasonal guides and practical steps for apartment balconies, backyard gardens, or simply shopping differently.
Q: Do you homeschool your children?
A: We’re passionate about education and believe homeschooling offers deep advantages. At the moment our children attend school in the UK, where they’ve thrived, but we continue to supplement at home and advocate for learning outside the classroom.
Q: How can I support Oak & Acre?
A: Sign up for our free newsletter, share our content, purchase our seasonal guides, or follow along on social media. Every bit of support helps us keep producing independent content.
Q: Are you faith-based?
A: Faith is an important part of our lives and shapes the way we see stewardship, community, and creation. Oak & Acre is inspired by timeless truths found across faith traditions — the call to care for the earth, nourish our families, and live with purpose. Our content is open to anyone who resonates with these values, regardless of their background.
Q: Will you offer food or physical products in the future?
A: Yes. Our goal is to expand into food/product offerings, on-farm experiences, and educational programs as we grow.
